Q: Where should I hold my tea party?
Depending on the weather, you may choose to have a tea party on your deck or patio. Comfort is important, so be sure there’s shade for your guests and the sprinklers are turned off! Some homes lend themselves to having guests throughout a few rooms, some with larger tables and a few smaller tables.

Q: Why would someone want a tea party catered?
Hiring A Touch of Tea allows a hostess to attend to her guests, to enjoy herself as much as her friends. Guests so enjoy an elegant tea; it is a wonderful memory for your friends.

Q: What items are included in the menu?
A variety of caffeinated and decaffeinated teas are offered as well as scones, tartlets, finger sandwiches such as egg and sprout circles, cucumber and dill hearts, ham and apricot pinwheels, and poppy seed chicken salad in phyllo cups, just to name a few. You may fill out the Party Planner and email or fax the planner without any financial obligation.

Q: What if I need additional tables or seating?
A: We will be glad to make arrangements for special equipment, additional tables and chairs through a rental agency. We will also secure and deliver floral arrangements and a professional photographer to meet your needs. In many instances, a hostess prefers to cut flowers from her own garden or to take photos and share them with her guests.

Q: Do I use my own china and linens?
You may certainly use your own china and linens but we can also supply or add to your own settings for no or little additional charges. We have a variety of delicate cups, saucers and dessert plates as well as antique linens.

Many women love to put on a hat and gloves along with an antique purse. Dresses, slacks or skirts are the norm for such a fun event. The idea is to have fun and be comfortable while chatting with friends.
